Before you start
You need EarCast installed in Chrome, at least one converted article, and your EarCast feed URL. You can find the feed URL in EarCast Settings or after adding an article to your podcast feed.
On iPhone or iPad
- Convert an article with EarCast.
- Click Podcast in the EarCast player or open EarCast Settings.
- Copy your private feed URL.
- Open Apple Podcasts.
- Go to Library.
- Use the More menu, then choose Follow a Show by URL or Add a Show by URL.
- Paste your EarCast feed URL.
- Confirm, then wait for Apple Podcasts to load the feed.
On Mac
- Copy your private EarCast feed URL.
- Open Apple Podcasts on your Mac.
- Choose File, then Follow a Show by URL.
- Paste the feed URL and click Follow.
Troubleshooting
- If Apple Podcasts does not load the feed right away, wait a minute and refresh. Podcast apps sometimes cache RSS feeds before showing new episodes.
- If the feed URL was not copied, open EarCast, click Settings, and copy Your Podcast Feed.
- If no episodes appear, convert an article first, then add it to your podcast feed from the EarCast player.
Privacy note
Your EarCast feed is private in the sense that it is not submitted to a public podcast directory. Anyone with the exact feed URL could access it, so do not post the URL publicly.
